Flowerpot VP1 Pendant light

Flowerpot – Sophisticated design

The shape of the newly launched Flowerpot VP1 Pattern goes back to the design by Verner Panton. Three years after its presentation, the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen brought out the Flowerpot pendant lamp with a psychedelic wave pattern, each with two different colour shades: yellow, red and blue. In addition to these monochrome colour variations, the Flowerpot pendant lamp was available in black and white colour blocking. Half a century later, the Danish label &Tradition picks up the trend with the Flowerpot Pattern and reinterprets it using the most modern production techniques. Flowerpot – Excellent Design

The luminaire body of the Flowerpot VP1 pendant luminaire is composed of two aluminium hemispheres. The upper, larger hemisphere holds the light source, while the lower hemisphere, just half the size, faces the upper one and is held in position by a metal frame that is invisible from the outside. The small hemisphere conceals the light source and provides a pleasantly indirect, lead-free light. The inner surfaces of the hemispheres are coated white and serve as light reflectors. The well thought-out construction of the Flowerpot VP1 once earned designer Verner Panton the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Flowerpot Pattern – Skilful Colour Blocking

Colour blocking is a furnishing trend and evergreen in interior design. It can be used to set new accents in your own four walls. The Flowerpot VP1 has a diameter of 23 centimetres, while the Flowerpot VP7 measures 37 centimetres in diameter and the Flowerpot VP2 a whole 50 centimetres. The Flowerpot Pattern is available in all three sizes. The interior design experts at TAGWERC combine the sizes with each other to achieve a design depth and three-dimensionality that is perceived as special. This is because the sizes can also be excellently combined with each other. For this purpose, Flowerport Pattern VP1, Floworpot Pattern VP2 and Flowerpot Pattern VP7 are installed in a group and at different heights, for example in a gallery, reception area, atrium, above the dining table – wherever there is an appropriate ceiling height. In addition, the Flowerpot Pattern pendant luminaire can be combined with single-colour Flowerpot luminaires. A variety of design possibilities are conceivable and realisable.

Flowerpot – classic in design history

Flowerpot lamps, colloquially also known as Flowerpot lamps or Flowerpot lamps, are a series of lamps by the Danish furnishing label &Tradition, produced under licence according to a design by the architect Verner Panton from 1968. Almost half a century after the first design, the Flowerpot VP1 pendant lamp is now more popular than ever. Flowerpot VP1 – undoubtedly a classic of design history, available from TAGWERC as a licensed original.
