Chairs by Designer Verner Panton in the TAGWERC Design STORE

Chairs and us – constantly in motion

Today, a cozy home not only requires chairs for the dining table, but also bar stools, lounge chairs and benches or poufs. This version the Danish architect and designer Verner Panton already had at the beginning of his creative career in the 1950s.

Against all resistance

For his father’s restaurant, Panton’s first major contract, he developed club chairs, but also stools and bar stools offered guests in the roadhouse Kom-Igen in the late 1950s a variety of different seating options. A novelty at that time. No wonder, that Panton had to take stick over a lot of criticism and fight against resistance.

Healthy sitting

Sitting on literally all levels, eating, meeting and working is now quite normal. The change of position – sometimes low, sometimes high, sometimes in between – is even propagated as being particularly healthy. Low lounge chair, swivel dining chair, bench and stool, dynamic work chair, pouf or bar stool for the kitchen counter – we adapt our seat to our mood.

Chairs for all moods

For all these moods we provide the perfect base. Chairs for indoors or outdoors. Casual chairs, cool chairs, noble and elegant chairs, ergonomically shaped chairs, dynamic chairs, swivel chairs, bar stools, bath chairs, pool chairs, low chairs, high chairs, kitchen chairs, sturdy chairs, plastic chairs, metal, plastic, wood, fabric, just all the chairs that you can imagine and someday need. The chairs listed here are all based on designs by designer Verner Panton, a visionary of modern chair design who had this version already back in the 50s.
